2013 Year In Review

Well 2013 has come and gone so I thought I would just take a quick review of the year for Peculiar Perspective. I received my annual report today from WordPress and it contained some interesting information.

First, if you are reading this thank you. If you have read any of my posts this year thank you. As I mentioned in one of my posts Feedback Is Always Welcome I do appreciate any and all feedback I receive. I can look at numbers to see how many people have clicked on my blog but I really cannot tell how many people have actually read it without your feedback.

Thank you for the feedback you have given me by commenting here in comments, on Facebook and in person and please give me more in 2014 – both good and bad. That is the only way I will learn how I am doing from your perspective. I am still not sure exactly what I am doing with this except expressing some of my thoughts on topics that are of interest to me. I hope some will be interesting to you as well but whether I will ever settle on just one main theme or not I don’t know.

One of my goals for 2014 is to make my posts more concise so without further explanation here are some interesting highlights from my annual report and some of my favorite and your favorite posts of 2013.

This blog was viewed about 3800 times this year and there were 38 posts. If my math is correct that is about 100 views per post. Since the first post A Peculiar Perspective Begins! was published on March 8th that means this blog has been active for 10 months so that is 3.8 posts per month, almost the one per week I was aiming for.

The most popular post was A City Divided published on July 7th and was viewed 534 times. The next four most popular posts were Overtime!, Two Questions, Shopping Can Be Fun, and I Agree.

This next statistic surprised me. This blog was viewed in 23 countries! This included The United States, The United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, Finland, Russia, Egypt, Argentina, India, Pakistan, Germany, Poland, Malaysia, Kenya, India and Indonesia.

Some of my favorites that did not make the top five most popular list were Fog, It was all started by a…rabbit?, and Speak Life.

Well that is my quick review of my blogging journey in 2013. Thanks again for joining me along the way. I hope to have a few more words that might interest you in 2014.

My prayer is for 2014 to be your best year yet!

Until next time…

    1. Thanks Bob. I do appreciate your comments and encouragement. One of the stats I didn’t put in my post was that you were my top commenter in 2013. Thanks for that.

Blessings to you and your family in 2014 and congratulations on a great win for MSU and the SEC yesterday!
