Happy, Happy, HappyAs 2016 begins I wanted thank all who have stopped by and read, commented, and shared any of the words I have posted here on this blog in 2015 so here it is…

Thank You!

I do appreciate your time and input and hope to be able to post something that might interest you again in 2016. Looking back it is always good to see what interested most readers last year, what worked and what didn’t. Based on total number of views here are the top five most popular Peculiar Perspective posts of 2015.

Epic – June 11, 2015

In this post details from what was an Epic School Board Meeting held on June 11, 2015. This was the first meeting with new board member, Dr. Daniel Whitaker and he asked several obvious common sense questions about the process the superintendent follows in hiring, specifically, this was regarding the hiring of the Elementary Education Director. Questions such as how many applied, how many of those were qualified and how many were interviewed. If you missed that one you might be surprised at the answers.

The Silenced Majority – March 29, 2015

This post talks about the fact that freedom of speech is being suppressed in Enterprise, Alabama and how that can be changed if those being suppressed use their collective, silenced (due to this suppression) majority, power to make changes to this environment at the polls in the next city elections in August 2016.

Loud and Clear – October 16, 2015

At the end of my blog post You Can’t Please Everyone I mentioned Take Back Enterprise had made a formal request to the city council and asked to meet with them. The city council and mayor have now responded to that request (I think) and their collective response speaks pretty much for itself. It was Loud and Clear.

Post Goals Met

In last year’s annual review post I did set a goal of 2 posts a month. Although the scheduled was not consistent, I did publish 24 posts in 2015 so on average that goal was met. I hope to maintain a similar pace this year but it is an election year so we’ll see.

Where was it viewed from?

It is always interesting to me to see the different countries where this blog was viewed from. In 2014 it was viewed in 59 different countries, 3 more than last year. Of course the United States was the primary location but coming in second was Canada, followed by the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, India, Sweden and Russia. It was also viewed in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, Poland, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Mexico, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya and South Africa.

That still boggles my mind but just shows the potential reach of anything posted online, whether it be in a blog, in a Facebook or Twitter post or any other social media platform. Once Publish, Send, or Post is clicked those words are permanent and this is a good reminder or caution for anyone in the techno-social world we live in today.

Thanks again for your support and taking the time to stop by last year and may 2016 be your best year yet! I hope you choose to stop by here again from time to time.
